Supporting workplace innovation
Supporting workplace innovation
UKWON is not a typical consultancy. Our approach combines extensive research into workplace innovation with practical, creative approaches to making change happen. Our international and multidisciplinary team brings extensive knowledge of effective and sustainable change from across Europe and beyond. Our expertise lies in finding solutions which enhance organisational performance through a high quality of working life for all employees.
All our knowledge and experience of workplace innovation convince us that there are two main dimensions to effective and sustainable change:
Creating spaces for inclusive dialogue and reflection
Employees at every level possess knowledge and understanding that can help to improve products, services and processes. Yet real employee engagement doesn’t come easily – it requires the gradual build-up of trust as well as the creation of spaces which allow people to think creatively about how to do things better. UKWON has developed a number of approaches designed to stimulate dialogue and productive reflection including OIL Checks, the Resilience resource and Forum Theatre.
Learning from diverse places
Successful workplace innovation is never about running to catch up with and to copy “best practice”. Rather it grows from a gradual and sustained process of learning from a wide range of places, in different sectors and in different countries. UKWON’s extensive networks create varied opportunities for shared learning and exchange of experience, enabling participants to create hybrid approaches to the design of work which reflect the real needs and circumstances of each organisation.
UKWON can also help to stimulate and resource change through Masterclasses, Action Learning and tailored Courses.
Courses
UKWON has developed a considerable body of course material that can be tailored to meet the needs of managers, employees and trade union representatives involved in change. Our courses are generally geared towards practical action in the workplace as well as individual learning.
ILM or university accreditation is generally available for courses.
